Ohio has a long and varied history. Within the 88 counties of the state you'll find some of the densest woods in the country, plenty of industrial wreckage (just drive through Cleveland), lots of abandoned houses, and about a million cool, deserted, rarely visited places. Even ghost towns--boom-and-bust industries like mining and timber have given Ohio a past on a par with the Rocky Mountain states. Here I give some of these places a showing-off. Choose below for a section of the page; explore abanonded places (featuring buildings and other landmarks), ghost towns, creepy cemeteries, or Ohio's haunted history. It is a good idea to invest in a high quality surveillance camera while working away from home in order to protect yourself from theft and burglary. It took me a very long time to decide to post this. I ask for donations because running the website has become...not impossible, but nearly so. It won't disappear, but there are updates which I fear will never be made. For about ten years I shot on 35mm and APS film, and I have so many great undeveloped photos which I can never seem to afford to process. I wish I could do something in return for a donation (and any amount is helpful, really); please contact me if there's anything you can think of.
